In celebration of the York Ice Trail from March 5-6, 2022, Kay Bradley and the team at Eco Rocks are giving you the chance to win a laboratory-grown diamond trilogy ring worth £2,250. The winner will be drawn at random on March 10, and entries must be submitted by midnight on March 6 to be in with a chance.

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED!

Thank you to all who entered and congratulations to our lucky winner.

Now’s your opportunity to win a laboratory-grown diamond trilogy ring worth £2,250 from Eco Rocks York. This incredible giveaway is centred on the York Ice Trail 2022 – an amazing family event that sees a range of ice sculptures take over the historic city centre of York on the first weekend of March.

As in previous years, Kay Bradley and the team at Bradley’s Jewellers York and Eco Rocks will join in the fun with a six-foot diamond ring ice sculpture positioned right outside the front of Bradley’s boutique on Low Petergate. This frozen work of art, which was commissioned before Christmas 2021, features 57 facets – just like a brilliant-cut diamond – and depicts an Eco Rocks laboratory-grown diamond trilogy ring. In another amazing twist, frozen at the centre of this 100kg sculpture is the real thing… a £2,250 Eco Rocks ring that could be yours by entering our competition. Once the ice has melted, the ring will be handed to a lucky winner!

Kay says: “The Ice Trail is such a popular winter attraction in York; we’ve loved getting involved and have commissioned some incredible sculptures over the past decade. After Covid cancelled the event last year, we wanted to come back even stronger by creating something truly spectacular, with a real wow factor for customers and tourists.”

This design sketch shows what the Bradley’s Jewellers and Eco Rocks ice sculpture will look like and where the special prize will be placed, right at its centre.

The ice sculpture was handcrafted by London-based business, Icebox. The theme of this year’s Ice Trail is ‘Around the World,’ which is a wonderful opportunity to tell the Eco Rocks story of British craftsmanship and its world-renowned laboratory-grown diamonds, which are sourced from a renowned expert in Israel.

“When considering the source of diamonds around the world, people think of the great mines in Africa, Russia and Canada, but we are going to take people on a different journey with our lab-grown diamonds and then draw the attention back to our beautiful homeland,” Kay explains.

“Our sculpture celebrates the beauty of British-designed and crafted jewellery and quite literally showcases created diamonds from laboratories that are transforming the diamond industry. They have the same characteristics as mined diamonds but are a more affordable luxury in this modern world.”

The Prize – An Eco Rocks Lab-Grown Diamond Trilogy Ring

The ring that could be yours is a laboratory-grown diamond trilogy ring with a central oval-shaped, IGI Certified diamond of 0.50 carats. This lab-grown diamond has the finest possible colour (graded D) and a clarity grade of VVS2. The two outer lab-grown diamonds are round brilliant-cut and total 0.34 carats (F colour, VS clarity). All three diamonds are set platinum and the remainder of the ring is crafted in 18K yellow gold with a tapered shank. The retail value of this stunning British-made ring is £2,250.

There are some other special details too, like a microscopic laser inscription on the central diamond’s girdle that details its unique grading certificate number. This is all done for your complete peace of mind and confidence.

Plus, if you look closely at the hallmarks, you will find the ‘Eco’ sponsor mark that is unique and personalised to Eco Rocks York. Next, there’s the ‘X’ date stamp for the year 2022 that will be reproduced on all jewellery marked this year at the UK’s four Assay Offices. Finally, there’s the Birmingham Assay Office Anchor logo and the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Hallmark.

Kay concludes: “There is a real buzz in the city about the upcoming Ice Trail; we are really excited to officially unveil our Eco Rocks sculpture and give away this exquisite ring that, just like the ice art, is a contemporary fusion of nature and technology.”
